It's Official, I'm Addicted To Cooking... And The Food Network

I have to say... I am thoroughly enjoying my latest stint as a "cook". (Of course, I'm using that word loosely.)

food-network-logo.jpgThis go-around, I've been taking tips from the "pros". Experimenting with lots of fun new easy recipes. And organizing recipes (including photos) in a recipe program I've had for years, but never fully utilized until now.

So far so good. Everything's been edible. And Jim seems to be enjoying this process, as well.

My biggest motivating factor has been The Food Network. For the past few weeks, I've been addicted to the Food channel on TV ...which before now, simply made me hungry. Now, it makes me want to try new things.

It just seems so "indestructible". And I'm certain... whatever I bought today would likely be with me until I died.

Martha Stewart I learned a few little-known secrets and food tips from Martha Stewart today:
(Keep reading... it gets better.)

    ...To keep POTATOES from budding, place an apple in the bag with the potatoes.

    ...Stuff a miniature marshmallow in the bottom of a sugar cone to prevent ICE CREAM drips.

    ...Wrap CELERY in aluminum foil when putting in the refrigerator and it will keep for weeks.

    ...Cure for headaches: Take a LIME, cut it in half and rub it on your forehead. The throbbing will go away.

    ...Don't throw out all that leftover WINE. Instead, freeze into ice cubes for future use in casseroles and other dishes.
