Dining Out Gluten-Free In Page, Arizona: Fiesta Mexicana Restaurant

| Comments (0)

Over the past weekend, Jim and I had to make a trip from the Grand Canyon to Page, Arizona to have some work done on our truck at the Ford dealership there. Because it's the closest dealership to us, and because it's about 150 miles away, we decided to go on Sunday afternoon and spend the night so we could be there when they opened.

fiesta-mexicana-restaurant-page-arizona.jpg Eating in restaurants I have never been in before is difficult because I have to know that what I eat is gluten free.

When you're traveling and you're trying to find gluten-free foods when you dine out, some cuisines are easier than others.

We wound up at a local Mexican restaurant called Fiesta Mexicana.

frothy-beer-by-muduAbudu.jpg If you love beer, you may be in store for some good news regarding the apparent health benefits of one of the world’s most beloved beverages.

Super Bowl Recipes: The BEST Buffalo Wings & One-of-a-Kind Cocktails Just For Football Fans

| Comments (0)

buffalo-wings-and-celery.jpg The following recipe for Buffalo Wings was originally posted February 1, 2006 on Nick Bakay's Xtra Large Blog at Superbowl.com.

Actor/writer/comedian Nick Bakay, whose 'Manly House of Football' segments can be seen regularly on NFL Network, will be a major voice on Superbowl.com throughout the week."

Since it doesn't look like they're preserving any archives of his stuff, I fear that this great recipe will vanish into thin air in a couple days. Therefore, today's post is in honor of Nick Bakay and his one-of-a-kind "original" Buffalo Wings recipe.

And, while you're homemade buffalo wings are sure to be a hit... your guests will also need something wash 'em down with. The "football fan cocktails" which follow are to die for.

Enjoy!

Recently, the show 20/20 ran a special about "Is drinking a Bud wiser?"

...as in, should you drink a few beers before you move to the "hard stuff" in order to prevent a hangover?

"Beer before liquor, you're never sicker."

We visited the Jack Daniel's Distillery with Jim's parents -- it was raining! The Jack Daniel's Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee is close enough to Nashville that we take a road trip out there once a year or so.

It's also a fun thing to do with guests whenever they're in town visiting us. The best part: It's FREE!

Here are the highlights of our February 27th Jack Daniel's tour with Jim's parents.
